The Hohokum Almanac Book Design

Hohokum is a playful and unusual video game for Sony PlayStation platforms, based wholly on artist Richard Hogg’s imaginative illustrations. So enigmatic is the game, however, that the producers felt it could use a bit of grounding. My team collaborated with iam8bit, Sony, and the Hohokum creators to produce The Hohokum Almanac, equal parts art book and field guide. We custom-design each spread as a literal window into the game world, embellishing on the characters and situations within. The book was a hit, garnering a five star rating on Amazon.
