At Hexanine, the design firm I co-founded in 2009, we always appreciated our clients. In 2012, with the Mayan calendar predicting armageddon in mere weeks, we sent out a holiday gift kit stocked with your basic post-apocalyptic essentials: whiskey, coffee, duct tape, band-aids, soap, and more. Our clients fell in love with the gift box, some proudly displaying it in their offices years later.
